Sandra Hardy and Craig Richardson are the new Affiliate Directors for Destination Imagination Maine. Sandra has been a Maine resident for several years, while Craig lives in New Hampshire. We have been the Affiliate Directors for New Hampshire for quite some time. Craig is also the Executive Director of NHICC, the nonprofit organization that runs both New Hampshire DI and our summer camp, Camp Gottalikachallenge. NHICC offered to take on DI Maine after MMSA had to step away from Destination Imagination.
We’re very excited to be able to work on expanding DI in Maine, and look forward to the coming 2023-24 season! We are actively planning for this year, and have begun reaching out to communities and schools that have offered DI to students in prior years. If you are already planning a team or are considering being active in Maine DI again, please let us know!
Volunteers are essential for this program. We need:
- Team Managers: Every team must have at least one
- Coordinators: Support for team managers in communities/districts with multiple teams
- Appraisers: Needed to assess team solutions at the Maine DI Affiliate Tournament
If there are other areas you can help with, such as training Team Managers or Appraisers, or tournament planning, or something else, please speak up!
